Good to Know!
Often, pole barn kits are sold not including a vapor barrier in the roof (unless specifically requested). KNOW what your purchasing! Even when opting not to insulate, which a lot of people do, a vapor barrier in the roof is very important when closing in all sides of a building. A vapor barrier (also referred to as single bubble insulate) will save your building from heavy condensation down the road, it’s not an overly priced addition, and will save a lot of trouble in the long haul.
Tips/Ideas:
- Spice up a simple pole barn project by adding a cupola and weathervane!
- Indecisive between two colors? Or maybe you just like the look of a two-toned building? The installation of wainscot is a beautiful touch to any pole barn project. Wainscot is a shorter piece of metal ( a few feet) that is placed at the bottom of the building.
- Install a liner panel inside! Metal walls will make for easy cleaning and create an appealing touch to your garage!
